Chocolate cinnamon porridge with homemade fig jam

The mornings start getting colder and you are freezing your gluteus maximus off? Then the warm embrace of a porridge is exactly what you need to start your day off right.

Kitchenware • cooking pot • bowl • teaspoon • scale • shredder


Ingredients • 1/2 apple • 50 g oats • 150 ml water • 150 ml almond milk • 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds • 1 teaspoon cinnamon • 1 teaspoon cacao powder • 50 g homemade fig jam • almonds • cacao nibs • dark chocolate sprinkles

1. Shred the apple (don’t peel it, you will loose vitamins which are directly under the skin).


2. In a cooking pot, add the shredded apple, oats, water, almond milk, flaxseeds, cinnamon and cacao powder, and cook at medium heat until bubbles start forming (about 3 min).

3. Take the pot off the stove and add half of the jam. Mix well.

4. Pour the porridge into a bowl and decorate it with jam, almonds, cacao nibs and chocolate sprinkles.
