Preparation time: 10 minutes
Quick and super easy base for French pie-like dishes such as tart or quiche!
Kitchenware
• 1 big bowl
• 1 fork
• 1 teaspoon or 1 knife for the butter
• hands
• 1 baking tin
Ingredients
Salty pâte brisée:
• 150 g of flour
• 75 g of soft butter
• 1 pinch of salt
• 40 ml of water
Sweet pâte brisée:
• 150 g of flour
• 75 g of soft butter
• 1,5 tablespoon of sugar
• 40 ml of water
1. In a bowl mix all dry ingredients (flour + salt OR flour + sugar).
2. Add butter in little scoops and knead with fingertips for 2 to 3 minutes.

3. Add water for the ingredients to bond properly and form a dough ball.

4. Put the dough in a baking tin and spread it with your fingers.
You don't need a rolling pin. It works just fine without.

5. Spread the dough along the edges of the baking tin and stab it with a fork.

6. Add the salty or sweet ingredients onto the dough and bake at 180 °C for 20 to 45 minutes depending on the topping.
